[WealthPark Lab] Conducted a Financial and Economic Education Program for Students and Faculty at Shibuya Kyoiku Gakuen

Shibuya Kyoiku Gakuen Shibuya Junior & Senior High School

WealthPark Lab, the research arm of WealthPark Co., Ltd., held a five-hour, two-day financial and economic education program at Shibuya Kyoiku Gakuen Shibuya Junior & Senior High School.

The program consisted of two sessions: on the first day, “What if you were born in a country with no investment? — Understanding the truth about yourself, money, and society,” and on the second day, “Facing your own ‘Sakoku’ (National Isolation) bias — What does it mean to love Japan?” Both sessions provided opportunities to think about investment and its relationship with society from different perspectives.

■Program Overview
Title:
・”What if you were born in a country with no investment? — Understanding the truth about yourself, money, and society”
・”Facing your own ‘Sakoku’ (National Isolation) bias — What does it mean to love Japan?”
Date: March 23 (Mon) – 24 (Tue), 2026
Lecturer: Kosuke Kato, Representative of WealthPark Lab
Duration: 75 minutes × 4 sessions (Total 5 hours)
Target Audience: Students and faculty of private Shibuya Kyoiku Gakuen Shibuya Junior & Senior High School

In this program, participants learned about the connection between investment and society, as well as the internal conflicts involved in cross-border activities through group work and board games. Participants gained an active understanding of the social role of investment. The following are some of the comments received from the participants:

  • My concept of investment has changed significantly. It’s not just about money.
  • I gained insights beyond what I learned in social studies class, such as trade liberalization and the hollowing out of industry.
  • I realized that making choices that cross boundaries—not just national ones, but those involving family, companies, and local communities—generates various forms of conflict.
  • I felt that the psychological boundaries of the ‘community’ held by my parents’ generation are very different from those of my own generation.
  • I would like to take many more of these programs.

WealthPark Lab will continue its commitment to financial education.
